Real Love® promotes simplicity & intuition for a happier life. Learn why logic can block love & how to "drive" with your heart.
I recently came across an email that perfectly captured the essence of Real Love® in a surprisingly relatable way. It involved a man in training to become a school bus driver, and it highlights a key principle: sometimes, overthinking only gets in the way.
I received an email from a man in Canada:
Real Love's Simplicity: A Lesson from a School Bus Driver
“The simplicity of Real Love® and its guidelines reminds me of something that happened during my school bus driver training. One of the trainers was trying to explain a driving procedure to me, and I just wasn’t understanding it. The harder he tried, the more blank I got.
"Finally, he stopped and said, ‘Okay, here's the deal. Forget everything I just told you. JUST DRIVE AND DON'T HIT ANYTHING!’
"I understood that. I let go of all the details and just did what came naturally. I was able to focus on just doing what felt right instead of trying to remember and organize a bunch of things in my head.
“Soon after this, the trainer asked, ‘Did you used to work in the computer field?’
"I said, ‘Yes, support technician. But how did you know?’
"Because I've had three of you characters in the last month, and you were all exactly like this. I don't know what it is with you computer people."
The Thinking Trap: When Logic Gets in the Way of Love
Programming and running computers requires considerable THINKING, so in these tasks thinking is good.
But lots of thinking isn’t good everywhere. Thinking can, for example, make trusting quite impossible.
Thinking can interfere with truth-telling and feeling love.
The Core of Real Love®: Honesty, Kindness, & Unconditional Love
When it comes to love, life, and happiness, keep it simple.
Don’t overthink it.
Tell the truth, never defend yourself, don’t ever be unkind to people, and love others as well as you can.
Just drive and don’t hit anything.
Replace your fear and confusion with peace and happiness.
