A Real Love Poem

By Greg Baer M.D.

November 7, 2014

Sat here in the bright of day

Watching rain droplets plopping

onto the grass

beyond the coziness of my wooden cave

A love shack from where I

called “home”

At last!

Too much time spent lonely

Here now I’m not alone

A different face I see

A new song for me to sing

Just by being held

In the safety of angels wing

And beheld in the eyes

Of a face breathing new life

Into a me I don’t yet know

Revealing things as surprise

That once lay dormant there

They went unseen by other eyes

And hid themselves in many lies

Into the great unknown . . .

A seed has now been sown!
