Like a Bloodhound

Bloodhound is a dog breed famous for its ability to follow a scent that is often many days old, over great distances, even across water. The handler allows the dog to smell something previously worn by the escaped prisoner, or the missing person, or the lost child, and then the dog can detect the scent left behind by even one or two cells of the person being followed.

But first, the dog has to know what scent to follow. Without an object known to have been worn or handled by the missing person, how can the bloodhound know what scent to follow from so many possibilities?

Most of us are looking for unconditional love as tenaciously as any bloodhound ever searched for anyone. But, as with the dogs, we first need to get a feeling—like a scent—of what we're looking for. How can we find Real Love unless first we have experienced it for certain?

How wonderful it would be if every child got an undeniable scent of Real Love during infancy, but that rarely occurs. And so it is that we need wise men and women, coaches, and Real Love groups, so we can get a nose full of the scent we can then pursue for the rest of our lives. Find somebody who can love you unconditionally. Get a feel for it, and then stay with it and pass it on to others. And that's how Real Love will fill the world.
